A New Kind of Holiday Exchange Comes to Life in New York City

At Union Square’s Holiday Market, small businesses and shoppers are experiencing faster, simpler payments powered quietly by Avalanche technology.

Through the Urbanspace mobile app, visitors can pay merchants in USDC, with transactions settling in seconds and at lower cost compared to traditional card networks. This seamless experience requires no special crypto knowledge from users but gives small businesses quicker access to their funds and reduces fees.

The initiative ran through the market season and also features a digital vendor directory and promotions, demonstrating how blockchain can quietly improve everyday commerce.

The House Goes Onchain: MyPrize Brings Their Social Casino to Avalanche

With over $1.15B total player winnings already processed, MyPrize is a functioning casino-like experience built around social play, creator communities, and real prize pools. MyPrize will now run redemptions, play resolution, and prize tracking natively on Avalanche. Every outcome is recorded onchain, enhancing user confidence and driving Avalanche network activity.

Avalanche & Blockticity Bring Global Supply Chain Standards Onchain

Avalanche and Blockticity co-authored the new standard published by ASTM (D8558-25), which gives businesses a clear way to prove where the origin of products come from and whether documents are real and verified. When Blockticity’s verification tech runs on Avalanche, the result is a platform where shipments, certificates, and test results can be authenticated instantly.

KBank, Orbix Technology, and StraitsX Launch Travel Payments Onchain

Thailand’s second-largest bank, KBank, is integrating StraitsX to run cross-border payments between Thailand and Singapore. This builds on Alipay+’s live use case for 1.6B+ tourists to pay at any GrabPay merchant in Singapore. Avalanche also already hosts StraitsX’s XSGD token.

Avalanche Builds MENA Momentum at Abu Dhabi Finance Week

Throughout Abu Dhabi Finance Week, Avalanche released a series of announcements related to regulation, enterprise adoption, startup incubation, and institutional infrastructure. Together, these developments create a cohesive roadmap to support Avalanche’s goal of becoming a long-term blockchain partner for governments, enterprises, and builders across MENA. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights:

  • Ignyte (Backed by the DIFC) launched a MENA-focused L1 Builder Challenge with $25,000 for top builders.
  • Lulu Holdings, processing $19B+ in annual remittances per year, is exploring settling these payments on a purpose-built Avalanche L1 via AvaCloud.
  • Kitopi, a cloud-kitchen operator serving 100,000+ meals/day is migrating its loyalty program to Avalanche C-Chain.
  • SemiLiquid launched its Programmable Credit Protocol: automated institutional lending against tokenized assets without moving them out of custody.
  • Maalexi is building a blockchain-based agricultural trade platform, exploring an Avalanche L1 in 2026. The group aims to launch Maalexi Agri Tokens: data-enriched, asset-backed tokens that simplify cross-border trade.
