Balcony to Tokenize $240B in Real Estate on Avalanche

In a historic move for public sector blockchain adoption, the Clerk’s Office of Bergen County, New Jersey signed a five-year agreement with Balcony to tokenize 370,000 property deeds (representing $240B in real estate value) on Avalanche. This is the largest deed tokenization initiative in U.S. history.

The Summit London Hackathon

The Hackathon welcomed 150+ developers from across the world, offering $50k in prize money to build with Avalanche’s robust technology stack, to address pressing issues and create scalable, practical solutions.

• VanEck Launches Avalanche-Focused Purpose-Built Fund.

  Also during Avalanche Summit, VanEck announced the launch of the VanEck PurposeBuilt Fund, a dedicated vehicle to invest in liquid tokens and projects backed by venture capital, which could include gaming, financial services, payments and AI. The PurposeBuilt Fund is VanEck’s first ecosystem-specific strategy, with no immediate plans to replicate it for other L1s.

• EVEN Redefines Artist-to-Fan Relationships.

  Streaming made music widely accessible-but it also changed the relationship between artists and fans. With most of the financial rewards now going to the streaming platforms, creators are finding it increasingly difficult to make a living from their art. Pixelmon Arrives on Avalanche

Popular Web3 developer Pixelmon is joining Avalanche. Citing the need for high-speed, reliable infrastructure, the team chose Avalanche to support its expanding, community-driven franchise across games, anime, and collectibles. Its upcoming flagship mobile title, Warden’s Ascent, will bring Pixelmon’s signature monster-collecting gameplay to the Avalanche C-Chain.

AvaCloud Product Launches

• Avacy is now powering a privacy-focused AvaCloud payments network. This tool gives users enhanced anonymity for onchain transactions, along with built in auditability.

Events

Team1 hosted over 70 events around the world in May, including five side events at Avalanche Summit London.

Team1 also wrapped up its latest $10K bounty around the new eERC20 tokens. More bounties will be announced on the official Team1 account.

Throughout June, Team1 will be hosting developer workshops, demo days, gaming nights, and World Cup qualifier watch parties to support the launch of the new FIFA Blockchain.
