How does mining work? In Web3, mining refers to the process of verifying transactions and creating blocks in certain blockchain networks. What about the miners making it all happen, you ask? They receive rewards for the time, energy, money, and machinery they put into helping secure and perpetuate a network. These rewards look different depending on the network miners belong to, and there are plenty of incentives for miners to be honest about their blocks.
