Network Highlights Avalanche9000: The Biggest Network Upgrade in Avalanche History Avalanche9000 is the largest network upgrade Avalanche has undergone since mainnet launch. Galaxy Digital, Dragonfly, and ParaFi Participate in $250M Sale In Support of Avalanche9000 Upgrade Avalanche secured $250 million in a private locked-token sale with participation from over 40 top-tier firms, including Galaxy Digital, Dragonfly, and ParaFi Capital. This successful sale, ahead of the Avalanche9000 upgrade, demonstrates growing confidence in Avalanche's blockchain ecosystem and technology. Learn more here. DeFi GoGoPool L1 Launcher and L1 Marketplace are Live GoGoPool has unveiled two groundbreaking products in conjunction with the Etna Upgrade on Avalanche: the L1 Launcher (L1L) and L1 Marketplace (L1M). L1L is a robust toolkit that expedites and reduces the cost of launching Avalanche L1 chains while also improving scalability. L1M complements L1L by being the first marketplace of its kind to connect projects with trusted validators, liquidity providers, and infrastructure support. Together, they create an innovative ecosystem that streamlines the process of launching, scaling, and maintaining L1 chains, thus lowering the barriers for Avalanche L1 projects. Learn more here. Pharaoh Exchange Surpasses $40M TVL, Launches Beta Upgrade Pharaoh Exchange is undergoing a major platform upgrade to enhance user experience and functionality. The upgrade includes a new front end and dApp with a redesigned swap module, light mode option, and streamlined liquidity addition. The dashboard and incentives page will be revamped, and a new color scheme will be applied. The overall goal is to improve user experience, attract new users, and strengthen the platform's ecosystem. These significant enhancements come at an exciting time for Pharaoh Exchange, as the platform recently achieved a milestone by surpassing $40 million in Total Value Locked (TVL), marking an all-time high and underscoring its growing prominence in the Avalanche DeFi ecosystem. Enterprise & Institutions Next Generation Sports and Fan Experiences, Powered by Avalanche Sports Illustrated Tickets and the New York Red Bulls have formed a 13-year partnership that will integrate blockchain technology for all live event ticketing and rename the Red Bull Arena to Sports Illustrated Stadium. Beginning in 2026, Sports Illustrated Stadium will be the first major venue to exclusively use blockchain-based ticketing through the Sports Illustrated Tickets' "Box Office" platform, which is powered by Avalanche. Learn more here. Uplink launches the first DePIN as an Avalanche L1 Uplink, a decentralized connectivity ecosystem for existing and new internet infrastructure, announced its L1 implementation. The DePIN platform revolutionizes global connectivity by turning everyday Wi-Fi routers into enterprise infrastructure. Despite 95% of the global population living in areas with a mobile network footprint, 38% face a "usage gap" due to poor infrastructure, interoperability challenges, and high access costs. With Uplink, users can become providers by using their existing Wi-Fi routers or deploying new ones, closing the connectivity gap and earning rewards in the process. Learn more here. More Enterprise & Institutions Highlights Gaming Beam L1 Goes Permissionless & More Beam, the gaming L1 run by The Beam Foundation, had a quartet of big announcements in December. The news included a global expansion to Abu Dhabi, a new AI division, their L1 going permissionless, and a node sale. The node sale was of particular note, garnering over 50,000 validator tokens sold for over $65M within the first week. This will make Beam the first permissionless Avalanche L1, enabled by the Etna upgrade. Learn more here. First Person Shooter (FPS) āShatterlineā Launches on Epic Games Shatterline, the apocalyptic new FPS from Faraway Games, launched on December 5th on the Epic Games store. The title already features a variety of game modes at launch, including Roguelike, co-op, PvE, and a fiercely competitive PvP. The titleās Web3 elements are built on Farawayās custom L1, the FCHAIN. The FCHAIN will also support other titles from the developer, who aims to make many of the gamesā assets interoperable with their catalog of titles. Learn more and find the link to download here. Avalanche Ambassador DAO Avalanche Ambassador DAO Will Rebrand to āAvalanche Team1ā āAvalanche Team1ā is a new global network of builders, developers, creatives, and community members who grow Avalanche. Since its May launch, Avalanche Team1 has averaged 30 community events per month, collaborated with over 45 universities worldwide, and created more digital content to tell the Avalanche story. Infrastructure & Enablement Codebase Announces Season 2 Winners Codebase revealed three winning teams from its second season: Chiss Protocol, AutoPen by Lucero Labs, and Disgo. To kick off Season 2, the Codebase cohort spent a week in Buenos Aires at Avalanche Summit LATAM, followed by pitch practice workshops and breakout sessions with the Avalanche Foundation Board, prominent ecosystem founders, and project leads from Codebaseās first cohort. VERO Labs is launching an Avalanche L1 VERO Labs, the social technology company operating the ad-free social network VEROā¢, announced plans to launch a custom L1 blockchain on Avalanche during Abu Dhabi Finance Week. This initiative is set to unlock the multi-trillion-dollar fan-based asset market, offering creators and superfans new ways to connect, engage, and invest in each other's success. VERO's L1 blockchain will power its Community Finance (CoFi) model and allow creators, sports franchises, and IP owners to raise capital directly from their fans. Learn more here.
